This is why you set cameras in the right spots. An 8-pointer working the property means something is happening here—bedding patterns, food sources, movement corridors. The camera catches it all.
Trail cameras are your eyes when you’re not there. This buck is hitting the area consistently, which tells me his pattern is established. That’s intel you use to plan your hunt and position yourself for the opportunity.
The footage is clean, which means the camera placement is solid too. You learn over time where to put cameras for the best footage: water sources, rub lines, trails between bedding and feeding areas, transition zones during morning and evening movement.
This is scouting work—the unglamorous part of hunting that separates the guys who fill tags from the guys who just spend time in the woods. Good buck, solid camera, good intel. That’s the formula.
